Project Overview
ABS Services completed a comprehensive restoration of the main entry stairs at Cincinnati College
Preparatory Academy, formerly Washburn Elementary School. Originally constructed in 1910, the
building required a careful and detail-oriented approach to preserve its historic limestone façade while
modernizing the entryway for safety and durability.
Scope of Work
- Careful demolition of the existing concrete stairs and railings
- Demolition of the old stair structure at the building
- Placement and compaction of 304 limestone base material
- Installation of a new area drain at the landing
- Forming, pouring, and finishing new concrete stairs
- Installation of new railings
- Caulking of all joints where new concrete meets existing limestone
